Updated operating systems 25-10-2024 09:00

Since the beginning of the academic year, updated operating systems have been available in the Laboratories.

Most important changes:

• Python 3.12 with a set of basic packages and the ability to create your own environments via venv and conda (Miniforge distribution)
• Windows: Visual Studio 2022 and local SQL Server 2022
• Linux: ability to use docker in rootless mode

Linux update 10-11-2022 12:00

This week, Linux prepared by us based on Ubuntu 22.04 MATE was installed in Computer Laboratories. Please check whether the materials used in the class work with the new versions of software.

New Wi-Fi certificate 29-06-2022 12:00

Opening hours during the summer session 20-06-2022 17:00

Ladies and gentlemen,

we kindly inform you that during the summer session computer laboratories staff will be available from 8:15AM to 3:30PM.

Remote-labs service is resumed 29-10-2021 14:00

We resumed remote-labs service, which allows to work remotely on operating systems prepared in the same way as in Computer Laboratories. Currently, it is possible to use Windows by 18 users and Linux by 12 users at the same time. Service description is available at https://laboratoria.wmi.amu.edu.pl/uslugi/laboratoria-zdalne/

Remote-labs service suspended 04-10-2021 11:00

Ladies and gentleman, due to the start of classes in the WMI building, we are forced to suspend the remote-labs service, which made computers located in Computer Laboratories available for remote work.

Our terminal servers will still be available - https://laboratoria.wmi.amu.edu.pl/en/services/terminal-servers/

We are planning to restore the service in a limited version in about a month - after new computers will be delivered to our faculty.

Ladies and gentlemen,

due to the actions taken by our University aimed at limiting the spread of coronavirus, we would like to inform you that during the suspension of classes at our University, FMCS Computer Laboratories are closed for physical use of our resources - including being in computer classes.

Also, we communicate that all services provided by Computer Laboratories will be available to all employees and students of our Faculty. You can use them by connecting to the terminal server or using a VPN connection.
