Windows

This tutorial describes the process of connecting a Windows PC to the WMI wireless network using a Windows 10 notebook as an example.

Windows Vista and Windows 7 require a certificate to be installed. You can use WMIWirelessSetup.exe to install it on your computer.

  1. Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar (usually in the bottom right corner of the screen)

  2. Select WMI from the list of available networks and click Connect

  3. Enter your login credentials from the LABS domain - including "LABS" (the credentials that you use in computer laboratories), i.e. for example LABS\s12345, and click OK

  4. If a warning appears, click Connect

  5. The network will be saved and the connection will be estabilished

If you have trouble connecting despite providing valid credentials, your account might have been automatically locked due to too many invalid login attempts. Wait 2 minutes or visit the Laboratories Staff and ask for your account to be unlocked.
