If your laptop is connected to the WMI network, you can print from it directly from your Linux operating system.

Following procedure requires installation of samba-client package (sudo apt install samba-client).

  1. After logging in, choose System Settings:

  2. next, Printers:

  3. In a Printers - localhost window press Add:

  4. Click Network printer, then Windows Printer via SAMBA. Enter printer address printers.labs.wmi.amu.edu.pl/Printer_A1_PS - in case of adding a different printer, see list on the beginning of the article. Choose Set authentication details now and enter login in LABS\s000000 format and password to logging into the LABS domain:

  5. From manufacturer list choose Lexmark:

  6. Find Lexmark MS810 Foomatic/Postscript [en] on model's list:

  7. Name printer Printer_A1 and write a description:

  8. Choose Cancel in test page printing dialog:

  9. Double-click on Printer_A1.

  10. Go to Printer Options, change Page size to A4 and Double-sided printing na Long edge (standard):
