Term
To connect from outside of the faculty's network VPN is necessary.
Login
To connect on Windows one may use mstsc app (available through Start -> Run... -> mstsc or Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Remote Desktop Connection) entering term.wmi.amu.edu.pl into field Computer:. In case of problems precede login with LABS\ string sequence.
On Linux one may use remmina or xfreerdp programs. Then log in using the same credentials as in case of laboratories login. In case of problems set LABS as domain name or precede login with LABS\\ string sequence if you are running from command line.
On macOS official Microsoft Remote Desktop application is required.
Disconnecting without logout
Disconnected session will be active for at most 30 minutes - therefore it is possible to leave running programs and disconnect with a server and then reconnect e.g. from other computer.
To disconnect from remote session without logout - press "x" on a menu appearing on top of the screen or from Start Menu select arrow next to Log off and then Disconnect.
Known issues
Concurrent user limit
To ensure system stability, the number of concurrent users of the service is limited. The following message indicates a lack of space on the server at the time of connection:
Time Series Modelling 4
Time Series Modelling can be run on a given computer only by a single user. Launching it by another user at the same time causes incorrect operation on both instances.
Because of that TSM is incompatible with remote desktops and will not be available on the term server.
Visual Studio Code
Visual Studio Code can be run on a given computer only by a single user.
Because of that VSCode is incompatible with remote desktops and will not be available on the term server.
